A dream came true:
Since her first appearance in 1972, the Squire SS-100 has earned collectors’ status on hushed paws as the best Jaguar SS-100 reproduction.
The Squire SS-100 was developed in closest style of the Jaguar SS-100 (1937 – 1939) by Auto Sport Importers, Inc., Philadelphia, PA, USA, and built by Automobilli Intermeccanica in Trofarello, Italy between 1970 and 1973 – mainly by Fiat mechanics and engineers in red, yellow or white.
Exactly 51 cars were built and all of them shipped to the USA. The car boday is made of hand laid fiberglass, absolutely rustfree, head lamps and radiator were modelled from metal over wooden forms. The wheels are chromium Dunlop 15” with 72 real spokes.

The undercarriage is the US-Ford Mustang with the 4.1 liter OHV 6-cylinder-inline engine with either the Ford 5-gear or with the Ford 3-gear-automatic.
CarMANT: driven by passion!

The brakes are hydraulic “Bendix” drum brakes at all 4 wheels. The inside is black leather with comfortable bucket seats. The closed softtop cares for absolutely dry conditions with plexiglass windows. Each Squire SS-100 comes with “Jaeger” instruments. The car drives very directly getting into curves like a real roadster should.
Our fire-truck-red CarMANT Squire SS-100 is the original car of Mr. Art Stahl, Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Art, born long ago in Germany, has been president of the Squire-Club of America and has added decisive remarks to the handbook for the car. His – now our – car appeared often in American media, TV and in automotive journals as the best Jaguar reproduction.
The problem is to get one of these 50 beauties at all. At the moment (10.2008) there are five Squire SS-100 being offered which – to information we got – have to be restored. Thus, the costs inclusive of German road permisssion would be roughly € 30,000.- – still an attractive price for such a fine Jaguar reproduction and essentially under the prices for an original Jaguar SS-100 Roadster which – well restored – are bought for approx. € 300,000.-.
