5,580 single parts had in 1928 to be

assembled to

build a single FORD A (AR for the American, AF for the German designation). Then they built the “Phaeton” at costs of 395,-$ !

It took quite a while to convince Henry Ford to get separated from his beloved Ford T-Model. Yet, the market demanded a change for many a reason and maybe it was the sum of 250 million dollars just for the changes at the production halls which held him back.

These changes took five months and were done in all works while during this time period they got already orders for 400,000 cars although nobody knew the final product. In spring time of 1928 the orders raised to already 800,000 and in 1929 they peaked at 2 millionen Ford Modell A cars!

On top of all coziness your are driving with the flair of the “Ford-Doctors’-Car of 1932” and the technical benefits of the 1970s Ford Continental through the rolling greens with grace and peace, and you drive on Autobahn and expressways with the safety of a modern car – homelike fun!

CarMANT: driven by passion!

From the dream car of any countryside doctor between WW I and WW II to the dream car for today’s youngsters and oldies and couples in love who like to drive to the ‘heathlands’ and be hidden from this world for a couple of hours or a few days – and loads of room for luggage is also available.

The Ford Model A

was built in all versions 4,320,446 times, the CarMANT Shay-Ford Model A Phaeton only 404 times being a reconstruction of 1971 equipped with a 2.3 liter Ford engine with 88 HP. But all the rest is ‘real’ and they had no problems with the technical equipment for our modern traffic conditions. The CarMANT Ford Model A Phaeton Convertible will bring you safely to all targets (and also back).
